One of our main developments is the advanced and highly adaptable Directional Energy Indicator (DEI), which can be used for precise measurement of voltages and currents in medium voltage equipment. Jomitek Powersensors measures cable currents by measuring the magnetic fields in distances up to 15cm from the cables.

Jomitek has also developed specialized sensor equipment which detects lightning strokes in tall structures such as wind turbines. This makes it possible to pinpoint and immediately shut down a turbine which is not functioning properly, and thereby secure the remaining network.

The company is involved in ongoing research of optimal ways of providing lightning protection to high-risk locations on buildings, and has developed several methods to control the build-up of electric fields in such structures using finite element modeling (FEM) and actual testing.
